April is here, but yet a vast amount of people are still cold and even worse find that their feet are cold. People in the UK rarely experience snow. Nevermind snow at the end of March. Australiais heading for the coldest winter it ever experienced. Okay, it still will be pretty warm there for a "winter," but for people that are not used to that few degrees less than usual, it will be pretty cold. Point being, it's a lot colder than we are used to. And generally, our feet are the ones that a big problem when it comes to cold weather thus this is probably why you searched for how to keep your feet warm in cold weather.
So how do you keep your feet warm in cold weather?
You see plenty of meshy style of shoes these days. Whether it's sneakers or runners, a lot of people are getting them. On one side, they are great as they are breathable which is great for long walks and especially helps during warmer months. But warmer months are not coming as soon this year. Meshy shoes will not keep you dry, and when there's not enough heat outside, your shoes will be wet.
And once your shoes get wet, it's practically impossible to keep your feet warm in cold weather as water takes away your bodies temperature.
The solution? Don't wear shoes with a mesh fabric. And if you need to wear them for some reason, invest in some sort of a spray that can make a shoe water resistant.
The best solution though? Invest in some boots. Most quality boots are water resistant which is not the case with most sneakers, even at a higher price range.
And quite frankly, a lot of boots are water resistant. It, of course, depends on the quality of leather and type of it though. But compared to most sneakers, boots are a far better choice if you want to keep your feet warm during cold weather.
You also need to look out for something like the Goodyear Welt construction when looking for a shoe. Goodyear Welt construction is essentially a strip of leather, rubber, or plastic that runs along the perimeter of a shoe outsole and that keeps you dry from the bottom of the shoe. Having something that's water resistant is great from the top but you need something that's fully water resistant, so if you walk on wet grass, you remain dry. Otherwise, you will get wet anyway.
We mentioned wearing layers when it comes to keeping your body warm before. It also applies to socks. Wearing two pairs of socks is much better than one pair of socks. Put a thin layer of socks on first. Then put a fatter layer of socks on second. If your shoes fail to keep you dry, double socks can help keep your feet dry at least. While also keeping you warmer too.
Most shoe manufacturers don't invest money in insoles. They are made of the most basic materials and don't offer any advantages. That's why the insole market has been booming in the last few years.
We created heated insoles that will actually make your warm. The tips we gave will prevent your feet from going cold, but this tip will actually generate heat that will keep your feet warm in cold temperatures.
How does it work? You get a pair of our Anseris Brand Heated Insoles, and you place them in the shoes of your choice. You turn them on with the remote that comes with these, and with that, you also control the temperature that you want. Each insole has a 3.7V rechargeable Lithium-ion that will keep your insoles heated for up to 6 hours meaning that if you are going to be walking a lot, these will keep you warm for the duration of your walk.
If you are looking for how to keep your feet warm in cold weather, these insoles heat up all the way to 145°F or 63°C. And if that's not enough, then you must be in Antarctica.
